(260529) -- ASTANA, May 29, 2026 (Xinhua) -- Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev (R) meets with visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin in Astana, Kazakhstan, on May 28, 2026. Kazakhstan and Russia on Thursday signed an agreement outlining the terms of cooperation for the construction of Kazakhstan's first nuclear power plant, including a state export credit to finance the bulk of the project, Kazinform news agency reported.
