Countries around the world are interested in Russian expertise in technology, education, and other fields, Economic Development Minister Maksim Reshetnikov has told RT
Russia has "something to offer" other countries through partnership, having achieved significant results in multiple areas despite external pressure, Economic Development Minister Maksim Reshetnikov has told RT.
Following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022, the West sought to isolate Russia internationally. However, those efforts have largely failed, something acknowledged by multiple Western officials.
Despite sweeping economic sanctions, Moscow has managed to redirect trade toward new markets and largely cushion the impact, with the Russian economy proving far more resilient than many in the West had predicted.
Speaking to RT on Friday, at a reception marking the 95th anniversary of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade, Reshetnikov stressed that the Russian economy remains open and deeply integrated with global markets.
Partnership with Moscow is of "great interest" to countries at "various stages of development," the minister said, adding that Russia ranks among the world's leaders in areas such as the platform economy, education, healthcare, technology, and governance.
Russia is willing to offer its experience and know-how to countries interested in cooperation, according to the official.
Reshetnikov singled out the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as one of the key "elements underpinning the stability of our economy and one of the channels of our integration into the global economy."
One of the key features of the economic union - which also includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan - is its integrated single market.
