The Russian president has praised the "exemplary" relations between the two nations
Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised ties between China and Russia, saying the two nations enjoy an "unending spring" in their relationship during a video conference with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, on Wednesday.
The partnership between the two countries is supported by robust economic and energy ties. Putin noted that bilateral trade turnover has stabilized at a consistently high level, exceeding $200 billion annually. He also emphasized Russia's position as a leading supplier of energy resources to the Asian country.
Putin assured Xi of firm support for all joint efforts to ensure the sovereignty and security of the two countries, their economic prosperity, and the right to choose their own path of development.
Xi noted that Moscow and Beijing are demonstrating their resolve to uphold international justice. He also stated that bilateral trade and cultural-humanitarian relations are developing successfully.
